# Split a PDF into one file per page

POST https://api.cloudraker.com/v1/spaces/{spaceId}/files/{ref}/split/pages

Splits a PDF into single-page PDFs, one new file per page, named `<original>.p<n>.pdf`.

Each page carries `parentFileId` pointing back at the source, so the set stays traceable to one document.

A PDF longer than 100 pages answers `413 too_many_pages` — extract the pages you need one at a time instead. A PDF larger than 15 MB answers `413 too_large`.
