# Change a space's lifetime

PATCH https://api.cloudraker.com/v1/spaces/{spaceId}
Content-Type: application/json

Sets a new deadline: `expiresAt` becomes now plus `ttl` seconds, whether that extends the space or shortens it.

Only a space created with `POST /v1/spaces` has a deadline to change; any other space answers `404`.
