# Run an automation now

POST https://api.cloudraker.com/v1/automations/{automationId}/run

Fires an automation immediately, exactly as its schedule would: the same thread, the same approval gate, the same fire-history row. Entitlement is checked at fire time. Takes the automation’s own id (`aut_…`). A run already live in the thread answers `busy`; one parked on an approval answers `needs_input`.
