# Create a network policy

POST https://api.cloudraker.com/network-policies
Content-Type: application/json

Creates an immutable policy: the set of hosts an agent version carrying it may reach, the connection whose credential is injected per host, and whether a request to a host parks as a human approval first. Model traffic is NOT egress: the sandbox loop calls the platform model relay, which runs the call on the platform’s own inference binding, so the platform’s own model host is refused as a policy host. Authorization: org admin.

## Authentication

- `Authorization` header (bearer token, required) — Bearer authentication of the form `Bearer <token>`, where token is your auth token.

## Request

### Body (application/json)

This endpoint expects a NetworkPolicyBody.

- `name` (string, required)
- `hosts` (map from string to NetworkPolicyBodyHosts, required) — Host → rule. A key is an exact lowercase public DNS hostname: no port, no wildcard, no path, no IP literal, no internal or private target. At most 50.

## Response

### 201

The new policy.

- `data` (NetworkPolicy, required)

## Errors

### 400 Bad Request Error

Validation Error

- `success` (boolean, required)
- `error` (list of any, required)
- `data` (any, required)

### 403 Forbidden Error

`forbidden` — writing a network policy is an org-admin action.

- `error` (string, required) — The sentence a human reads.
- `error_code` (string, required) — The stable snake_case branch key.
- `issues` (list of ErrorEnvelopeIssuesItems, optional) — Per-field detail, present only on a validation failure.

### 422 Unprocessable Entity Error

`invalid_network_policy` — a host is not an exact public DNS name, or the policy lists more than 50 of them. The sentence names the offending host.

- `error` (string, required) — The sentence a human reads.
- `error_code` (string, required) — The stable snake_case branch key.
- `issues` (list of ErrorEnvelopeIssuesItems, optional) — Per-field detail, present only on a validation failure.

## Types

### NetworkPolicyBodyHosts

- `credentialRef` (string, required, nullable) — The opaque Vault reference of an enabled connection in this organization, or `null` for an unauthenticated host. The proxy injects the headers host-side; the container never holds the value.
- `approval` (boolean, optional, default: false) — When true the proxy PARKS every request to this host as an `apr_` approval and holds the response until a declared approver decides it (or 408 after ten minutes).

### NetworkPolicy

- `id` (string, required)
- `name` (string, required)
- `hosts` (map from string to NetworkPolicyHosts, required)
- `createdAt` (datetime, required)
- `createdBy` (string, required)
- `revokedAt` (datetime, required, nullable) — Set once the policy is revoked. A revoked policy stays READABLE for history and every egress request under it is denied.

### ErrorEnvelopeIssuesItems

- `path` (string, required)
- `code` (string, required)
- `message` (string, required)

### NetworkPolicyHosts

- `credentialRef` (string, required, nullable)
- `approval` (boolean, required)
