Compiles the template for diagnostics only — nothing is rendered or stored.
The answer carries diagnostics (compile errors and warnings, with file and line), the assets the sources reference and which of them are missing, and the fonts they use and which are unresolved. An empty diagnostics with nothing missing means the template renders.
